Whiskey Lemonade

Ingredients (16 servings)
3 cups Northern Plains Bourbon Whiskey
6 cups lemonade (homemade* or store bought)
Sprigs of rosemary or mint for garnish (optional)

Directions
Pour ingredients in a glass over ice and stir to combine.

*Homemade Lemonade (makes about 7 cups)
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup water, boiling
1 cup freshly sweezed lemon juice (approximately 6-8 medium lemons)

5 cups cold water (or club soda for sparkling lemonade)
Dissolve granulated sugar in boiling water to make simple syrup. Let cool.
Add lemon juice to syrup. Stir.
Dilute to taste with cold water or club soda (approximately 5 cups).

Customize your Cocktail
Sweet...Mix a bit of maple syrup into the cocktail to taste.
Heat...Muddle in a slice of jalapeño or stir in a pinch of cayenne pepper to kick this cocktail up a spicy notch.
Spices...Stir in a cinnamon stick, a few whole cloves, and/or a star anise to add intrigue.
Sparkle...Use Homemade Sparkling Lemonade
Make it Boozier...add in a splash of vomFASS Orange Liqueur.

Note
Recipe size is easliy adaptable. To make greater or few servings adapt recipe using the ratio of 1 parts whiskey to 2 parts lemonade.
