Oatmeal with Pears

Warming spices and fruits make this hearty breakfast a real treat and great way to start the day.
Ingredients (1 serving)
5 oz of milk
¼ cup oatmeal
1 Tbsp brown sugar
1¾ oz Williams Christ Pear Balsamic Star, divided
1 ripe pear
¾ cup water
1 cinnamon stick
2-3 star anise
a handful of chopped pistachios

Directions
Wash and cut the pear in half vertically and then cut only one of halves into slices.
Add 1 oz Williams Christ Pear Balsamic Star, cinnamon stick and star anise in a small pot with water.
Bring to a boil and then add the pear. Turn down the heat and let it cook for 2-3 minutes.
In a separate pan, pour the milk in a small saucepan.
Add the oatmeal and brown sugar.
Stir at medium heat until there is consistency.
Pour the porridge in a bowl and garnish with pear, and chopped pistachios.
Drizzle with remaining Williams Christ Pear Balsamic Star.
Enjoy warm!
