Honey syrup combines with bourbon and balances the grapefruit tartness to make a short drink that is as enticing at the beginning as it is at the end of an evening.

Ingredients (serves 1)
2 oz your favorite vomFASS Bourbon
1 oz fresh grapefruit juice
¾ oz honey syrup (2:1, see note)
Grapefruit twist, garnish

Combine bourbon, grapefruit juice, and honey syrup in a cocktail shaker and fill with ice. 
Shake until well chilled, about 20 seconds. 
Strain into a chilled coupe glass. 
Pinch grapefruit twist over top of glass to express oils and add twist to drink.
Note: For the honey syrup—mix 2 parts honey with 1 part hot water, stirring or shaking until dissolved, and let cool completely before using. Syrup will keep, refrigerated, up to 2 weeks.
