E-Z Strawberry Ice Cream
Posted by Alayne Gardner-Carimi on
The more ripe the strawberries are, the better your ice cream will taste! Made with just 5 ingredients and the big surprise is, there’s no ice cream maker required.
Ingredients (8 approx 6-oz servings)
1 lb Strawberries, hulled and chopped (about 2½ cups)
2 Tbsp vomFASS Aceto Balsamic Maletti, plus extra to drizzle over scooped ice cream
2 cups heavy cream
1 14-oz can sweetened condensed milk
1½ tsp vanilla
½ tsp salt
Directions
Place chopped strawberries in a medium-size bowl.
Using an immersion blender or potato masher, break up the strawberries to the desired consistency.
Drizzle Maletti over strawberries.
Set aside.
Add heavy cream to a large bowl. Using a hand mixer or immersion blender, whip the cream until heavy peaks form.
Fold in the sweetened condensed milk, vanilla, and salt to the whipped cream.
Once combined, add in the strawberries and mix.
Pour the mixture into a metal loaf pan (metal conducts cold better and ice cream will freeze faster than if in plastic or glass containers) and cover.
Place in the freezer for 4 hours or overnight.
Once the ice cream is frozen, scoop out and serve.
