The Perfect Welshman

A riff on the classic Manhattan which is made with rye whiskey. The classic Manhattan is made with sweet vermouth while a perfect Manhattan is made with both sweet and dry vermouths.
Ingredients (Serves 1)
2 oz vomFASS Pen y Fan Welsh Whiskey
½ oz sweet vermouth, usually red
½ oz dry vermouth, usually white
2 dashes Angostura bitters
1 Maraschino or Luxardo Cherry or a small piece of lemon peel for garnish
Directions
Add Pen y Fan, vermouths and bitters to a cocktail shaker with ice and stir or shake them together.
Strain ice as you pour into a rock or martini glass, or pour ice and drink into a tumbler.
Garnish and enjoy slowly.
