Flavors of Thailand
The popularity of Thai food is easily evident driving through any town USA. Subtle flavors build to produce dishes of extraordinary depth and texture. VomFASS has brought together three important ingredients to help any home cook produce the illusive Thai flavor profile. Basil Oil; Calamansi Balsam and Ginger Sesame Oil can be used singularly or in combination to bring Thailand to your table.
Calamansi Balsamic Vinegar This specialty vinegar is made from our own recipe using ripe Calamansi fruit from the Philippines, enhanced with brandy vinegar and natural cane sugar. It exhibits a bright citrus taste with a blend of tangerine and lime flavors. Remember to shake this cloudy unfiltered vinegar well before each use to harmonize the flavors, and store it in the refrigerator. Use as a citrus vinaigrette when combined with any of our infused extra virgin olive oils, as a marinade for seafood dishes, or as an aperitif when mixed with sparkling water (kids just love this!). Basil Extra Virgin Olive Oil Rich grassy notes with a hint of anise provide a exceptional layer of basil flavor. Try simply tossing pasta with this oil or drizzling it over fresh tomatoes. When making your next batch of pesto use Basil Extra Virgin Olive Oil for an extra basil kick. Ginger Sesame Oil This fine golden oil is a lightly toasted sesame oil with hints of ginger flavor. The flavors are in perfect harmony for marinades and salad dressings. The sesame is pronounced but not overpowering and the ginger notes on the finish are of just the right intensity. Try this oil for your next stir fry or for a real treat for your taste buds add a tablespoon or two to rice or pasta.
