Hailing from Napa, CA, this robust blend (63% Zinfandel, 16% Charbono, 12% Petite Syrah and 9% Syrah) is full bodied with medium acidity. It is nicely complex with notes of black fruits with cedar, vanilla, chocolates, coffee, peppercorn, caramel, figs, raisins and spices. Aged 14 months (50% in new American oak and the balance in once-used French oak barrels) Scouts Honor is smoothly powerful and pairs well with Italian food, braised short ribs and roasted vegetables or dark chocolate brownies.
